Description

Fondared 2.5 mg Injection 0.5 mL contains Fondaparinux Sodium, an anticoagulant (blood thinner) used to prevent and treat harmful blood clots such as deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE). It works by selectively inhibiting Factor Xa, a key enzyme in the blood clotting process, thereby reducing clot formation. Fondaparinux is commonly used after major surgeries (e.g., hip, knee, abdominal) or in patients at risk of clots due to reduced mobility. The injection is given subcutaneously (under the skin) once daily as directed by a doctor or healthcare professional. It must be used under medical supervision because of the risk of bleeding and other side effects.
